BIO: Training Specialist, Intelligrated Currently I work for Intelligrated, our innovative products, highest sustained speeds in the industry (30% faster than any other conveyor manufacturer), giving our customers greater throughput, lower noise levels, ease of maintenance and 24/7 customer service are raising the bar in what it means to be truly committed to customers. Intelligrated is the fastest growing provider of material handling solutions, products and services. I had taught at Cincinnati Public Schools and Lawrenceburg Community Schools where I had been teaching engineering at the secondary High School level. During my tenure at CPS and LHS I also was a coach, guiding squads in basketball, football, softball, soccer, bowling and track. I also taught at Cincinnati State, and Brown-Mackie College. Just prior to entering the world of academia, I worked for Lockheed-Martin as a technical writer, writing GEAE manuals and service bulletins. The biggest chunk of my life was spent in the United States Navy as an aviation electrician and trainer, working on the SH-2F and SH-60F helicopters. I joined the Navy in 1977 and was assigned to San Diego, California for my first 14 years and then Japan for 3 years and Memphis for 3 years before retiring. I also served as a Captain in the Air Force auxiliary and in the Ohio National Guard. I have a BS in Professional Aeronautics from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. I have been doing graduate work in education at Wright State University. I live in Harrison, Ohio (a suburb of Cincinnati) with my wife Terri (Customer Service at Meyer Tool INC.), my daughter Leslie (a senior majoring in Criminal Psychology at Ohio University), my son Bryan (a senior at Harrison H.S.). I enjoy all sports with. I am a lifelong Reds fan and member of SABR (The Society for American Baseball Research). I am in several OOTP 2006 leagues and a DMB league (maybe we might be folding). I have been coaching for over 25 years but this new job really curtailed that. I love the job it’s great but I travel around the country so it really cuts into being able to coach. On a side note I was born in Milan, Indiana which was town that inspired the movie Hoosiers. |
